Platforma Civikos organized a joint discussion with the Ombudsperson Institution (OI) and representatives of local organizations and Village and Neighborhood Councils, to share experiences and recommendations for deepening cooperation between OI and civil society.
Part of this discussion was the Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj, three legal advisors from the regional offices of the OI, namely Mr. Mark Kaqinari (OI Gjakova), Ms. Aleksandra Dimitrijevic (OI Gracanica), Mr. Arbër Berisha (OI Mitrovica), and Mr. Ehat Miftaraj from the Kosovo Law Institute.
OI officials elaborated on the mandate of the Ombudsman, successful examples of cooperation with civil society, and the importance of the functioning of the Civil Society Forum for the work they do.
On the other hand, Mr. Miftaraj emphasized the need to increase the communication of the OI with the media and civil society, to ensure the work of this institution is more accessible and understandable for all citizens.
