The next workshop of the thematic group for increasing the participation of civil society in policy-making was held, where it was discussed about the implementation of activities of Objective 1. Increase the participation of civil society in policy- making, of the Government Strategy for Cooperation with Civil Society 2019 – 2023.
As a result of the assessments, and the discussions held during this meeting, the members of the group gave their recommendations regarding the activities that should be included in the new strategy.
The participants evaluated that institutions should use all communication channels to distribute information about holding public consultations in order to ensure a higher participation of citizens in policy-making. Furthermore, it was evaluated that institutions should prepare reports with data that would inform the citizens what are the main changes in the legislative acts in the process of change compared to those in force and there should be continuity of information on the inclusion or not of the comments given by the citizens participating in the public consultations.
This workshop has been organized within the Citizen Engagement Activity in Kosovo, implemented by the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation in Kosovo (@KCSF) in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (@USAID Kosovo).
