The Civikos Platform organized a two-day workshop focused on local cooperation, citizen participation, and budget processes.
During the workshop, representatives of municipalities discussed their role in strengthening cooperation with local councils and local organizations in creating more effective spaces for citizen involvement in decision-making.
The discussions focused on the role of local councils, regulating the issue of payment for local councils, cooperation between assembly members and municipal officials with civil society in budget processes, as well as communication strategies with citizens. Through the exchange of experiences from different municipalities, good models of local cooperation for more transparent, more inclusive and with a stronger citizen voice were highlighted.
This workshop was supported by the National Endowment for Democracy
