CiviKos Platform, in cooperation with the Information and Privacy Agency, is working on building a platform which will serve as a tool to facilitate the process of requests for access to public documents for civil society and citizens. This activity is being supported by the National Endowment for Democracy .
In order this platform to be easy to use and to be build based on the needs of CSOs, journalists and citizens, CiviKos, in cooperation with the agency, organized a focus group meeting with several representatives of civil society organizations in Kosovo. This meeting was held in the offices of the Information and Privacy Agency.
CiviKos thanks the Commissioner for Information and Privacy Mrs Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku for the constructive cooperation, as well as representatives of the civil society organizations the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN KOSOVO), ÇOHU, Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), Kosovo Law Institute (KLI), FOL and Open Data Kosovo (ODK) who are contributing with the various ideas to make this platform easy to use.
This platform will help raise institutions’ awareness to improve access to public documents. The CiviKos platform remains committed to advancing cooperation between civil society and public authorities in Kosovo.
