Today we were in Mitrovica together with the Agency for Information and Privacy (AIP) for an information session on Personal Data Protection.
Participants from local institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector showed strong interest, raising concrete questions and contributing valuable discussions on the implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection.
The Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Ms. Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku, shared key insights into AIP’s mandate and the legal obligations of institutions and organizations in safeguarding citizens’ privacy.
The interactive discussions highlighted the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation and the need to build a sustainable culture of digital security and respect for privacy rights at the local level.
This information session was held within the framework of the project “Strengthening Personal Data Protection and Cybersecurity Across All Sectors in Kosovo“, supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
