Prishtina, June 20, 2024 – Office for Good Governance – The Office of the Prime Minister, in cooperation with the CiviKos Platform, successfully completed the first consultative meeting for the drafting of the New Government Strategy for Cooperation with Civil Society for the period 2024-2029. This meeting was held today and brought together a significant number of representatives of Civil Society Organizations.
During this meeting, the Evaluation Report on the Government Strategy for Cooperation with Civil Society 2019-2023 was broadly discussed. This report served as a basis to identify successes, challenges and lessons learned from the implementation of the previous strategy, providing a valuable guidance for the design of the new strategy.
The participants shared their opinions and recommendations, contributing with concrete ideas and proposals for improving the cooperation between the government and civil society in the coming years. Discussions focused on key issues such as increasing transparency, broad involvement of different communities and improving monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
The Office for Good Governance and the CiviKos Platform thanked all the participants for their valuable contribution and emphasized the importance of close cooperation in this process. Data and recommendations gathered from this meeting will be included in the draft of the new strategy.
The CiviKos Platform supports the drafting of the Strategy within Citizen Engagement Activity, implemented by the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Kosovo). Platforma Civikos is a partner of KCSF in implementing this activity.
